Tournament days are long. You need paddles, balls, water, a towel, spare grips, a change of clothes and your court shoes, and you need all of it to arrive in one piece. That is the job of the new Mint Unleash Tournament Bag.
Mint built it as a racket sports bag for carrying everything you need for a day on court, without feeling like you are hauling a giant sports duffel. It works for both pickleball and padel.
What the Unleash Tournament Bag is
The Unleash is a backpack style bag with a hybrid design for pickleball and padel. It has dedicated spaces for rackets, shoes, clothing, accessories and hydration. It comes in Black and Gray, both at $149.95.
What goes where
Paddles and rackets. Dual racket compartments keep your paddles or rackets separate from the rest of your gear.
Court shoes. A separate lined compartment at the bottom keeps shoes, and their dirt and moisture, away from your clean kit.
Water and balls. Two external holders. One is for your water bottle, such as a Mint sport hydration bottle. The other holds pickleballs or padel balls.
Everything else. Eight compartments in total: seven exterior compartments for quick access items, plus a large internal zip pocket for valuables and smaller essentials.
Built for the court, not just the car
- Fence hooks. Integrated dual metal hooks let you hang the bag straight from the court fence, so your gear stays off the ground between games.
- Three ways to carry. Wear it with the padded, adjustable backpack straps, grab the top handle, or use the carry handles.
- Comfortable back panel. It is contoured, padded and ventilated, so a full load stays comfortable from the car to the court.
- Heavy-duty zippers. Big-tooth zippers on the main compartment make loading easy, with concealed reverse-entry zips on selected side pockets.
Materials and weather
The outer is durable Oxford fabric that is water-resistant and UV-resistant. It helps protect your gear from light rain and splashes and stands up to long days outdoors. Mint is clear that it is not fully waterproof, so do not leave it out in a downpour.
Your tournament day packing list
Here is one way to fill it:
- Paddles in the racket compartments, including a spare Mint paddle if you carry one.
- A tube of balls in the ball holder: Cannonballz 40 Hole Outdoor balls or 26 Hole Indoor balls.
- Water in the second holder.
- Court shoes in the shoe compartment.
- Small items in the exterior pockets: a Tacky Pickleball Overgrip 3 Pack, Paddle Edge Tape and a Paddle Eraser for a quick clean between matches.
- Phone, keys and wallet in the internal zip pocket.
Want your essentials on your body instead? The Everyday Belt Bag has four zippered compartments and measures 7.5 x 2 x 5 inches.
Looking after it
Wipe it with a damp cloth when needed, and skip harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Empty the shoe compartment after play and leave it open to air out. Let the bag dry completely before you store it, somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
