How to Use a Pickleball Paddle Eraser (and Keep Your Paddle Face Clean)

Look closely at your paddle after a few sessions. See the faint marks and dull patches on the face? That is ball residue, dust and grime building up in the texture. Mint says its paddle eraser lifts it off in seconds, with no sprays or water needed.

Why paddles get dirty

Every hit leaves a little plastic from the ball on your paddle. Add dust and dirt from the court, and the textured surface slowly fills up. Mint's listing says regular cleaning helps maintain a cleaner paddle face and consistent contact with the ball.

How to use a paddle eraser

The Mint Paddle Eraser is made for carbon fiber paddle surfaces. Here is how to use it:

  1. Check the face. Look for residue marks and dull spots.
  2. Rub lightly. Move the eraser across the paddle face with light, even strokes.
  3. Brush it off. Brush away the loose residue.
  4. Do the other side. Then you are ready to play.

No water and no chemical products are needed. Mint says that helps preserve the paddle's textured playing surface.

When to clean

Keep the eraser in your bag and use it whenever you need it: at home, during practice or between matches. The new Unleash Tournament Bag has eight compartments, including a large internal zip pocket, so the eraser always has a place.
